Eucharistic Ministry
Since the earliest Christian times, the Church has extended the Communion table to sick or homebound persons. Each Communion Sunday our Lay Eucharistic Ministers visit those who are unwillingly absent from congregational worship and wish to receive the consecrated Communion elements. This ministry is a powerful assurance that, even though they cannot be physically present in worship, those who are sick, hospitalized, or in institutional care are still a beloved part of the faith community.
